Two lengths of the bail were used, so if you have the short cover, be sure to use the short bail.
If it's still too loose, then bend the wire more to shorten it.

If your new harnes came with the contact plate already attached it will be for the 4 position lights, 1929-31 Twolite system. You will ned to unsolder your original contact plate from the old harness...
