We made it! --- 167 miles in one day!

Had a great time and talked with a lot of knowledgeable people. Great time, will be attending next year too!

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. My A isn't going anywhere - my Dad's first vehicle and far to much sentimental value. I will have to learn a bit more about how my seat riser has been...

Ok, I'm hearing two things - yes its easier to work with if it's out of the vehicle. The other is that if I can get the sector housing off I can separate the steering column from the gearbox?

Interesting tid-bit/story and update to this thread.

Based on information in this thread I went looking for someone who knows Model A's to let them take it for a test drive and get an opinion....

Thanks for the reply George. I have no doubt my steering needs some work. I'm curious - at 35mph+ my truck feels like I could be a pilot on one of the Apollo missions (pretty rough), is this "normal"...
