When replacing a wheel the other day I used the Crank/Lug Wrench to tighten the lugs. Using very strong pressure on the wrench I got out the Torque wrench and checked and all lugs were just about 55...

Thanks Herb for the info on the color of the drive gear. My OD is off about 15 MPH and I figure I need to change that gear. I will keep my eyes open for a black one.

I use the brass rivets, my reasoning is that the soft brass rivet is less likely to damage my cast iron drum if the brake shoe wore down far enough.

Sad news indeed. I met Fred years ago when he was involved in planning the MAFCA convention in 1990. He was a a pleasure to know him.
