50 plus years doing automotive repair on numerous vehicles never came across this kind of voltage on a 12 volt system possible battery shorted out ?? try a good known battery keep us posted

just to add a story my wifeís aunt was a RN at a hospital in chicago in the 30s with all the gang related killings with the tommy guns she said sometimes they couldnít keep up with filling the body...

i had somewhat the same problem on my 50 cpe always puking up a little coolant when shut down changed to 160 t-stats and helped a little bit but then the rad.started to leak took it to my rad shop...

it’s not as hard as you are making it regular grade 5 bolts work just fine and the thing you have to remember is lots of patience

I ran halogens on a 1950 willy’s that i switched to 12 volts never had any problems with stock charging system they worked great

in my model A i used 600 wt ,which is what it calls for ,it’s available at snyder’s or brattens antiques ,also in my 50 cpe ,i use lucas engine oil supplement in the overdrive trans and diff 22 years...

because radial tires flex and roll ,and those old wheels aren’t strong enough to keep from movements sideways ,common problem ,bias ply tires don’t do that ,but radials are the way to go to get it to...

i had a similar problem with my stock 50 ,jammed up ,took the starter off didn’t really see anything wrong ,but replaced the drive with nos and no problems since ,about 3 years now but did learn from...

usually grade 5 is pretty much across the board for assembling but for steering you could use grade 8 for better piece of mind
