The starter on our 38 locked so tight that rocking didn't help, finally loosened starter then wiggled it, it came loose

starter is probably locked with the flywheel, put it in 3rd gear and rock car, my 38 did this, had to loosen starter to free it up, they do this occasionaly

I was having starting problems with my 38, running a 49-53 round coil, called Dick FLYNN, he said to bypass the resister under dash, did that a few years ago, will always start even when hot, puts 6...

The body tag on our 38 convertible coupe was steel, rusted so bad could hardly read it, I talked to DC about reproducing them, he said they didn't come with body tags, I made one myself, I believe...

Wal Mart battery tender is the one that boiled my Ford script battery dry, I put more acid in, it never charged up, the charger didn't shut off, so keep an eye on them

That's a beautiful 38, my favorite year, been driving a dlx. coupe since 1964, a conv. coupe since finished in 2009, some 38 came from the factory with a radio a 2 brush generator, and voltage...

I drove a B-series Mack tamden tractor, it had a four and a 5 speed trans, had to split the gears, up in one, down in the other, total 18 gears, took a while to get the hang of it

I put a vacuum guage on our 38 coupe today with 59A engine,warmed up and idling, it read 20, is that good?

Spark Plugs

I cleaned the plugs in my 59ab today, they were a little black, would it help to turn the 2 adjustment screws out a little, it runs really well
