Re: Moving the 30/31 Victoria on Amer. Pickers

I think we’re both right 100%!
TV has become dangerous to society
I used to more or less limit it to news and sports. Now both of those are sickening too!
I once heard that one was old when they...

Re: Moving the 30/31 Victoria on Amer. Pickers

“Show should be classified as a cartoon. Can’t believe people still watch it.”

They do act like the old Beavis and Butthead cartoon. Maybe so, but I consider more palatable a lot of TV...

Re: Will there be any model As left?

Sort of ironic.....
Those that are buying parts from those “parting out” are generally building one from parts!
Out of the ashes comes another one!!

Re: 160-A Standard Fordor?

That body has no cowl lites as I can tell on the iPhone
That’s one difference in std and dlx.
Other than that the interior pieces, trim out and finishes as noted above are major differences

Re: Body Cart for Tudor Body

There are downsides on all casters
What I’ve found with steel wheels is that something the size (or less) of. BB will hand them up

Re: '31 slant window loose door shafts

Surprisingly I haven’t seen much of that. I’ve probably rebuilt a 100 of them. Usually the spring is broken or just missing (fell out after breaking)
Likely the only good answer is removal. And a...

Re: '31 slant window loose door shafts

Coupe and slant completely different set up
If the male and female square fit (which you said above they did) the remote assembly is the problem. Does the handle hold in the lock position?

Re: '31 slant window loose door shafts

Are you sure the remote is not bad or the spring inside it is not broken? The remote spring is available but assembly has to come out of car.
If it is just the square and the shaft having too much...

Re: Title goes with Frame or Engine?

In Tennessee (Brent and I), the title goes with the engine. If you buy a basket case you can assemble the car and go get a title with the original title. However, you can change engine numbers with a...

Re: Cabriolet 68C Belt Line Wood

On both B&C the main tie-in on the belt rail pieces is the lower landau bracket
In both cases the bolts thereto pass thru the body also
It’s pretty solid once all that is assembled

Re: 1931 68C Cabriolet Fitting Quarter Body Panels

Another thing you need to allow for in the door fit is for the top irons
When the landau irons snap closed they push (or should) they push forward about 1/8”
At least that’s my experience. So you...

Re: 1931 68C Cabriolet Fitting Quarter Body Panels

Well you don’t want anything is a bad stress.
Believe it or not the package tray helps as well as the wooden belt rail
The lower top brackets add strength to the corners
The lower triangular...

The later seats had a wider drivers seat than the passenger.
Also the floor mounts are different between the early and late seats
Need to...
