Door stay diagram for 53 Courier

Does any one have a diagram for the door stay on the rear door of a Courier?
I believe the one on mine is missing some parts.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Disc brake question

Did you install a dual master cylinder when the disc were installed. If not the 10 psi residual valve that is built in to the stock master cylinder keeps enough pressure to cause the discs to drag.

Re: 1941 1/2 Ton dimensions?

The biggest difference is the bed width. ‘40/41 are 46” wide as apposed to F1 @ 48”. You can lay a 4x8’ sheet of plywood in a F1 but not in A ‘40/41.

Re: Leaning to one side

On the leaning issue. Make sure the center bolt is seated in the hole in the cross member and both U bolts are tight.

Re: 1940 pickup carpeting?

How did a master cylinder leak destroy the carpet? The stock placement for it is under the floor. BTW the stock floor covering is a rubber mat.

Re: 1941 Ford pickup rear spring

This one has 2 or 3 leaves removed. I had to make spacer leaves so the U bolts would clamp the spring to the crossmember. The spacers are under the spring. Otherwise the truck would hold the lean...

Re: Crusty Flatty Pt28: Lets go for a drive! At last!

Great first run. The more you run it the better it will get. Put about 500 miles on it then determine if it even needs a compression check. A vacuum gauge will tell you a lot in the mean time.

What is the part no. for the filter you used on the pickup? I have the same style fuel pump on mine but there is no filter in the bowl.

Re: Electrical schematic request - 41 Convt. electric top

Your numbers look OK. I would make a vented enclosure for the resistors, They will get hot.

Re: Starter on 8BA won't turn when HOT. What gives?

Starter bushings/bearings may be worn out. That causes the armature to drag on the fields when hot. I'll second flatheadmurre, take it to a good electric motor rebuild shop.

Re: 59 AB Pan Removal
