Re: Lake Ice Saw

What fun. Danger with a capital D, plus a shower of ice cold water. If that saw blade caught the machine would run over the operators and likely cut something off on the way across the lake. ...

For my Model T I installed a dash cam (camera) mounted to the windshield that I used to record touring events and even a tour of my neighborhood. I kept it and will install it on my Model A. It...

Re: Synthetic Oil for Model A

100 years ago, the standard recommendation when changing oil was to fill the crankcase with kerosene and run the engine until all the sludge was dissolved. Then drain out the kerosene and fill the...

Re: Compression test results, opinions please.

Why do cast iron cylinders glaze? Cast iron has a lot of carbon between the iron grains. The carbon will cause the grains to smooth over and the cylinder to glaze. Among other reasons, this is...

Re: Compression test results, opinions please.

Re: Assembly of steering column

You may have thought of this already. The suppliers sell a bottom plate with a little tube welded to it that extends to beyond the oil level to keep the oil from seeping out of the steering box. ...
