Re: XM Radio On 6 Volts Positive?

The guy that modified my radio says I won't need to do this because the 12v power converter built into my radio, does not interfere with the stock 6v positive ground. It's like magic! It's a totally...

Carpenter Headlight Switch For '40

I bought a new repo headlight switch for my 40 Deluxe from Dennis Carpenter. I also ordered a new knob which came with a short shaft about 1 1/2" long. Problem is, the shaft doesn't fit the switch....

Sand with 320/400 then paint. Unless the powder coat is in poor surface condition.

Re: Warning about c&g

I don't like C&G and they are in my back yard. Dennis Carpenter is much better. Backorder Bob's is useless.

Re: New block

The NOS is a wartime military engine in cosmolene since new, not a reject. The others are low mileage original engine that were all visually checked. I'll probably never use any of them since I have...

Re: New block

Good flathead blocks are not as rare as you might think. Allot of us old car guys have many put away that will out live us all. I have at least 10, one of them NOS.

Re: XM Radio On 6 Volts Positive?

The only audio port is the USB. Don't have an XM radio. Trying to figure out which one to get. It would have to work in conjunction with a USB connection. 12v neg ground is ok since when he...

Re: XM Radio On 6 Volts Positive?

I don't need to get a whole new 12v player since my stock radio is converted to AM/FM stereo with a bigger amp. It is still 6V positive ground however. I just need a converter that will run on 5-6...

Re: Ford script battery for '40?

That place is way too expensive. I paid $100 for the Ford script empty case. Only have to add the Optima battery. No points knocked off.

Re: Stick On Windshield Antenna For A 40

Think I will just run my I pod with a USB cable through the stock radio (converted) and forget drilling that 7/8" hole in the roof.
