The transmission is an S10 5-speed with 4.03 1st gear and .86 5th.
The Brownie is direct and .75 OD. The hard part was finding the aftermarket
open coupling shaft. Most of the ones I have seen...

I would not assume anything. Take the nuts off the u-bolts and pry the spring down
until you can see whats going on, make sure the bolt is not broken and the head is in
the cross member hole.

BB-7064 is a snap ring 1.20" ID 1929-42.
The part in your second picture looks similar to a pinion lock lock nut washer.
