Re: Frame serial number to obtain a title?

You can do it in Vermont, from what I understand. There are forms on their web site, but you need to get a police officer to come look at the number and run it through NCIC and get a letter on their...

Re: Biggest scare in a Model A

We drive them because we love them.

There are situations to avoid. I avoid rain and night time driving. I have good lights and reflectors, but it still makes me nervous. I would be very wary...

Re: Hershey experience

I got there lateish on Wednesday. I drove my Model A avoiding all the major highways. A fun trip, but added to the time on the road.

Great weather. Saw a lot of people, but missed Jeff...

Re: Hershey chatter

True that there are a lot of carts, but I didn't have any trouble with them. In fact, there seemed to be fewer than in years past. Most go very slowly, so no problem. Not to say something can't...

Re: Hershey weather?

Beautiful day today. My Model A handled the parking lot easily. I did see some mighty big holes in the lot across from the Giant Center, so be careful driving and walking. Not sure why the holes...

Re: Seat Belts ?

I installed belts and harness in my 39 Fordor and my 45 truck from Juliano's. Not much room in the truck cab, so no retractors. I used Juliano's anchors, too. I don't want to be in a wreck in any...

Re: 39 steering column cover plate

Funny you should ask. I spent last evening rerouting the emergency brake cable on my 39 Fordor after I removed it to adjust the e-brake. I could not get the turnbuckle to adjust enough while in the...

Re: NJ race of gentlemen 2019

I wanted to go, but needed to stay home and work on my cars. Hopefully next year.

Re: Original Price when new

You are not going to buy anything in gold. Today's price for $480 is about $9,000.

Re: Hershey Weather forecast

It has been very dry around here and we could use some rain. I don't want it to rain on Hershey, but some rain before and after is fine with me.

Re: Old Skool with many accessory parts

Looks like it has a dealer tag, though. Not that it isn't as Royce described. Maybe a trade in of some sort???

Re: 6volt battery charger

I bought two Speedways, the second because the first one quit working. Maybe not the same unit. I just bought a Schumacher for more money and it is a much higher quality unit. I think this is...

Re: The '37 Dually is finally coming together

"I bought a real nice 1948 Seagrave open cab pumper (with the Pierce-Arrow flathead V12)"

Question about the V12. Did Seagrave buy the rights to the P-A V-12, or was Pierce still making engines?

Re: Anyone have a battery cap?

I have an old battery in my garage. I can look at the caps and put a couple in the mail to you if I have your address.

Re: Truck based woody

Truck does look great. Glad you are doing okay. Follow the rules, less stress and have more fun. You live in a beautiful spot, btw. That has to help.

Re: How Far In One Day?

I may be more conservative than most people, but I avoid interstate highways in my antique cars. The speeds are too fast and with the trucks and crazy drivers, that is too hard on my nerves. Even...

Re: Weak Spark

With three jobs you are lucky to have any time at all. I have one more than full time job and it's a struggle to find time to work on cars. That said, if you have a can style coil AND a resistor,...

Re: Model A Day at the Gilmore

That was very cool, too. I should have taken a photo. I also should have dragged my butt over there to spend more time in the flea market before the seminars. Duh!

Model A Day at the Gilmore

Beautiful weather and a lot of Model A's.

I went to all the seminars on Friday night and Saturday. Most interesting to me was the very nice collection of original cars. Hopefully I can post...

Re: Building a Travel Toolkit

I keep a tire gauge in one of the door pockets. It doesn't take up much space.
