2X I also have two 12v Tenders.

I was gifted one on these and it lasted about 2 months before the 'Mode' button started bulging and it blink twice and died....

I have run 3Xs in the past but now run W-18s. The W-18s run a little cooler than the 3Xs with my set up.

Yes 12v. That is the one I use. I use the FL-3 because it has a connection for a pilot (indicator) light.
I'm running red LEDs in the rear and amber incandescent bulbs in my headlight reflectors...

The 3x are about equal to the W-18 according to this info on Ford Garage. I'm running the W18's now, they seem to run better than the 3X with a 5.5 head (cheaper too!). The 3X seemed too hot for my...
