Re: 46 Convertible top not working

Yes, you can remove the screw that holds end of your cyl. that will release the top from hydraulics. Another very important thing on 46-8 conv. is to always unsnap the buttons on both rear sides...

Re: rear axle gear ratio chart

Thanks to all, the formulas above will work for what I need. That speedometer chart is great but not the chart I am looking for.

Re: Early Ford Seal swap. Home made bearing tool. Flatty port cleanup. Radius rod mod

Good job on the TT bearing shell remover. A simular design is used for a too that removes bearing shells from Model T Ford rear ends. It is like yours and has a spring loaded button that engages...

Re: 46 Convertible top not working

All good advice above. I set up a stand with hoses, valves and a gauge to check my pump. The valve worked to stimulate pressure against the cylinders by choking the flow down. The original...

rear axle gear ratio chart

Sometime in the past someone posted a chart that had rear axle ratios, tire sizes, rpms and road speed data. It included everything from Model A 19" rubber on up thru 15" stuff. I printed it off...

Re: Head gasket

Use metal gaskets with copper coat sprayed on them. If you have to remove a head, it will come off and its possible you could use the gasket again. The fiber gaskets stick to the block and head and...

Re: Does Anyone Know What This Is?

Speaker was mounted in the header above the windshield. If it did not have a hot wire connected, it could be some sort of a antenna booster.

Re: 37 ford igtiton switch

The switch itself has two screws holding it to the column mount. If you are talking about the key tumbler, it has a pin in it from the bottom. To remove it, you have to have a small screw, matching...

Re: Bright 32 Radiator Shell?

I believe the body on that firetruck is a left over Ford GE body for a AA. They had that chrome tubing on top of the sides. At least it sure looks like one.

Re: '34 Radiator Problem

There is one small item here that could be wrong, it is possible you have the wrong fan. There is a difference in the fan hub length 33 thru 39. That would be worth checking with another 34. Other...

Re: Ignition Switch Problems

I do not use the type of switch that has tabs holding the back. The type that has pins is much better and the actual "tub" that holds the parts can be changed with two small rivets.

Re: Fuel Valve Leak Around Threads

I found the repop filters and maybe repop valves are slightly off where the flare goes. Ended up using red silicone sealer and it worked, went around the threads and inside lip of the flare.

What you have there isa 32 series BA Confederate fairly early Standard coupe. Later in 32 they offered side mounts and dual horns. It appears to be missing the horn(s) and front bumper. I would...
