Re: Defroster Nozzels - what year?
While we are on this topic, how do the defroster hoses fit onto the nozzles? Do the hoses go over and hold on with a clamp? Or do you just press them over?

Re: Empty Firewall Bolt?
That’s an interesting idea. I just looked again and although the battery tray is mounted lower on the passenger side, there is a bolt mirrored on the passenger side which is the battery ground post....

Re: 1940 fan shroud
No original shroud. But I fitted a walker plastic shroud to my 41 pickup. You have to measure and cut the hole, but it works well. I found a few threads on here about others who did the same.

Re: Speedometer needle
Yes, the needle is press-on. I gently pulled mine off holding the circle base with my fingers and then tapped in back on with my finger.

Re: 1941 Pickup Temp Gauge
Right. That one on eBay is a fuel gauge, but it looks like the other temp gauges I’ve seen for 41-47.
I’m wondering if anyone can identify which models got this green bar version?

1941 Pickup Temp Gauge
I’m looking for the temp gauge to fit my 41 pickup and came across this one recently. From what I’ve seen, all the other temp gauges for 41-47 did not have that green bar in the middle.

Hey Charlie, can you post or send me a few pictures of how you installed the shroud and secured it to the radiator? I also have a 41 with the original radiator.

Thanks guys. I tried just pressing on the gas while hitting the starter button. When it's real hot, like within 30 minutes of running it, it takes a few cranks, but it starts! Otherwise, a little gas...

Re: Overheating in a few minutes.
I do not have timing marks on my pulley... I have just marked TDC with tape. I'll double check it and see if I can put 22 deg on there if static timing doesn't work. Thanks guys.
