Re: Snyder’s Inserted Rod Size?

I've thought about this process for years. To bore these rod out, I would first sit down at a drafting table and design a fixture. If you look at the original rods you'll see that Ford used 3 points...

Re: Mysterious hole in valve chamber?

It would all go to the center and rear main then to oil return pipe on outside engine. Another question might be where would all the oil go on a long down hill run if the jagged hole was too low.

Re: Mysterious hole in valve chamber?

There is no return pipe, the pipe you see is the oil supply, the oil returns over top of the front dam.

Re: Water pump probably needs rebuild or LEAKLESS.?

The 1/8" end play can be solved by installing a brass washer 5/8x1x1/8" thick after the packing nut, then a 5/8" shaft collar, and a small amount of grease between the parts.

Re: How to check a Model B Cam?

Go to ford garage.com, click on camshaft, measure heal to nose, subtract base circle, that's the lift, if its an A or B cam, it can be reground.
