try on of those laser thermometers. you can check the radiator to see if it is cooling.

You may get different readings all over but as long as they are under 200, it does not make too much...

I by passed the rheostat and now the lights are nice and bright. Who drives at night anymore or in the rain?

I just picked up a radiator(heavy too). It has a shroud on it and looks just like a 40 car radiator. BUT the core measures about an inch longer in height and length. Is this for a larger truck. It...

Tubman and Bubba are correct . I use a helmet distributor(because that is what i have)on my 40 from Bubba and it is Great. Only been on there for 15 years.

Make sure you change the 4 freeze plugs in the oil pan. They did not look too good. Dont ask me how i know. It is amazing how fast the oil pan will fill up with water

Yeah the part is in the garage and it is too cold to go out.
There was a lot of grease on it so it was hard to find, also changed all the bushings too.
New mounts and good steady rods help a lot.

I had a 40 with a horizonal crack in the clutch equalizer shaft. When you sat for awhile with the clutch pedal pressed to the floor the clutch would start to engage by itself. Took a little while to...

I did my 40 interior in fabric. the upholstery guy used some Mercury Sable material, that looks just like the Ford Fabric . It had all the modern scotch guard stuff in it

I would change them. your ass is worth the price of the tires let alone the cost of replacing your car if something happened. There was picture a while ago where a new restoration went up in flames...

I had a fuel pump stand that was warped. it caused quite a bit of the fuel problem. Solved by replacing the stand. Plastic plugs work well in blocking holes in the firewall
