How does your friend know it's a 1957 SC engine? Has he checked the heads and intake manifold? If real I would be interested in buying it.

No just the E-Code used the Garbage Can. Craig is right on the AC 4442. It was also Boost referenced besides having the return line to the Fuel filter which handled the return line to the tank.
