I just got back from test drive with the new plugs. I wasn’t expecting it but I could actually feel a slight performance increase, especially in the higher PPMs. I’ll see how they look in 300 miles....

I’m sorry, I’m just trying to tighten up the body to frame bolts. I got under the car this morning and could easily see a lot more bolts along the X frame. I will get a friend to help me run them...

I just got back from the auto parts store. I was going to try the autolite but the store didn’t have autolite 386. I ended up with with NGK AB-6. I plan to install this afternoon.

Yes, itís a fluffy dry coating.

The carburetor is one of the British built Stromberg 97....

I have a 34 with the original aluminum heads. I have been using Champion D16s but they seem to foul after only a few hundred miles.

Anyone know what plugs are recommended for these heads?

I am trying to tighten the body bolts on my 34 cabriolet. I have found only 3bolts for each side. 1 on the floorboard, 1 under the seat and one in the rumble seat. Is there another one?

Hey Joe,

Water temperature at the sender is 145 degrees. My mechanic thinks that as the summer gets closer, the temperature reading will be in the “normal “ range. We’ll see in a couple of months....

David I don’t have a thermostat. I’m going to take my car out this afternoon and when I return I plan to measure water temperature in the hose, above and below the sender.

BOB I havenít seen the nick. Gauge man says he has it. I am going to examine the tubing with a magnifying glass when we take this one out. The only place for a nick would be where the tube passes...

BOB. Repair guy says the nick was in the tube from the sender to the gauge. I’ve examined each one before sending it back and could see no problems.
Previously, I have rechecked the units again...

As Iíve looked at pictures of Ď34 roadsters and cabriolets it appears that some axels are wider than others.

In some pictures it looks like the hubcaps...

Well, I don’t know what to say. I took my wife out for lunch. I had the back window unzipped as the temperature was warm and you can’t see anything out back with the window zipped closed.
