Update:

I installed new coil, new condenser and a new resister tonight. Started up first try. Let it run for 15-20 minutes to build engine temperature. It appears to be corrected. Hit the throttle...

I'll try to respond to several comments:

The condenser I replaced, was attached to the left side to the distributor. It is a seperate piece but apparently is required for the coil to operate...
