I have a perfectly good Ames horn that I no longer want to keep around since I no longer have a Model A. Just wondering what the value is? It has a few coats of black paint on it, but works...

So I have a 1928 Ames horn that works good, but I would like to use it on my 65 Mustang. How can I accomplish this. I have ran it directly on 12 volts, but it doesn't sound good.

Actually, an unpressurized radiator with 50/50 antifreeze in it can get much higher than 212but not that much to worry about.

I am sure that rewinding the coils would be best, but I really would like to keep the horn original, as someday, I will probably put it up for sale. Especially seeing what people are selling horns...
