In the repro parts books it is refered to as "Front Axle Inner Dust Ring".

The "dust rings" are those wire rings that go between the front brake lever and the front brake shaft housing assembly/rear brake camshaft lever and rear backing plate to keep the dust and dirt out...

Got it figured out...First of all there is no left or right rear backing plate; there is no left or right rear brake camshaft; BUT there is a left and right Rear brake Camshaft lever.

So you have two (2) Rear Brake Camshaft Levers...A-2235 Right and A-2236 Left to assemble on to the rear backing plates.

HOWEVER...there are no markings on them to distinguish Right from Left.

I am sure there were no "aftermarket" or "reproduction" tanks ever made by FORD or anyone else as that goes for the Model A/AA Fords.

However many damaged "ORIGINAL to the car or truck" tanks have...

First of all...and this is just my and a few others opinion, that the firewall date was stamped at Dearborn when the tanks were complete and tested...then sent out to the various assembly...

A lot of times the Front Bumper Brackets are slightly bent or tweeaked out of shape...some more than others.

Were the four (4) bolts (screws) that attach the Windshield Stanchins to the body (two (2) each side) on a 1928 Open Cab Pickup, "body" color or were they Nickel plated?
