Re: 36 Transmition bearings

Use a ‘37 and later front bearing retainer with a seal. Seals are readily available. Use a shielded bearing.

Larry, I've looked at both the 01C-7100 ans 21C-7100 low gears and see no difference except the 21C sometimes has a small groove in the outer diameter of the flange. I have not compared both of the...

'35 Brakes adapted to a '34?

Would it be possible to adapt '35 brakes to a '33 or '34, front and rear, as an upgrade, so mechanical brakes are still retained? I know of Model A's with this conversion to '35 brakes.

Thanks,...

You've done a good job describing your parts. The synchro hub with narrow slots is most likely a 91A, one year only. The 81A was used through the war years until the 51A in '45. The excess clearance...

Re: New transmission locks up. Only spins free in neutral. Thoughts?

Tim, bolt a u-joint to the back, sometimes the rear shaft tends to be to far into the trans, the ujoint will pull it back against the rear bearing. Paul J.
