IMHO you'd better get a new PV (from Max). The stem should be trapped within the valve not loose. This faulty valve will allow unregulated fuel to be drawn into the motor. Venturii vac can draw fuel...

old carb kits and could we do a trade.....sure I said. Does anyone remember P&D, Jiffy & Sorensen kits esp for Strombergs....
