I had 2 repop guages with plastic lens. They turned brown & stuck the guages. Bought 2 kits with glass lens & problem solved!

When I do compression test, I give it 10 strokes, or when the pressure stops rising. Be sure the battery is fully charged & all guages all read differently!!
