Re: 33 pu steering column

Here is a 1933-34 Ford pickup steering column drop. It is tapered because the dash board is not straight above the steering column as it is in passenger cars. This one sold for $256 in 2016.

Re: Jack Stewart's 1932 Ford Accessory Boards

That second picture shows Jack's display at the LA Roadster Show when it was held at the Great Western Exhibit Center. I bought a hard-to-find 1934 Ford pickup splash apron from Jack in 1972 for $15.

Re: 1934 pickup battery access size

The reproduction floorboard is correct. The oval hole is for a simple sheet metal inspection plate that allows access to the battery for maintanance and inspection. The floorboard must be removed to...

Re: Gas filler neck for 34 pickup with Tanks poly

Long ago i bought a poly tank for my 34 pickup. The manufacturer also supplied the filler. You sure "Tanks" doesn't carry a filler neck? The filler has to have a bend in it to avoid spillage. I've...

Re: Dual carbs with Gen/Alt stock location

I recently posted this picture. But it shows how dual carbs and stock generator (although the one in the photo is one of Whitney's alternator conversions) can fit behind the tightest early Ford ('34...

Re: 59AB Going into my '33 Truck, Generator Question

It appears as if you are no longer interested in pure stock so let me recommend what I did with the 59AB in my 1934 pickup. I ordered an alternator from Ed Whitney after sending him an original 1934...

Re: Truck Tool Box/Trunk - source

I have bought several antique auto trunks from eBay ads. However, I also do not like the look of a diamond-plate tollbox in a vintage pickup. Therefore I bought a smooth black toolbox from Northern....

Re: Difference between '33 and '34 truck grilles

Your grille is for a 1934. It has the embossed protrusion on the top for the chrome bezel that extends to the radiator cap. The 1933 grille does not use a bezel and on the 1933 the Ford insignia fits...

Re: photos of 1933 / 1934 pickup with 525/550-17 tires? OR with oversized tires?

I have used both 5.25-5.50 X 17 Goodyear diamond treads and (currently) 6.00 X 16 Goodyear diamond-tread tires on my '34 pickup. They FIT the wheel well. I do release some air from the 16 inch tires...

Re: 302 in a 33/34 pickup

It's amazing how many folks have opinions without actual experience. I put a 302 Ford in my 1934 pickup. I did NOT cut the firewall. I even used the mechanical fan. The secret was a Snow-White...

Re: Options for '34 P/U rear bumpers

David is correct about the rear bumpers on 1933-34 panel deliveries. I bought an assembly at the old Harrah's swapmeet in the 1970s. I installed it on my pickup and immediately realized it was too...

Re: 1933-34 Ford pickup dash light

Here's a picture of the dash light bracket. It attaches behind the dashboard with the central screw that holds the dash board.

Re: LA Roadster show

Re: 1934 Pickup Question

I was surprised to see this radiator pan still attached to a junked 1934 BB truck I was disassembling in 1970 in a junkyard in Carson, CA. I had it powder coated and it is now on my '34 pickup. I've...
