I bought a coil of Copper Nickel Brake Line. The way I straitened it was I tied a knot in each end and stretched it strait with a come along, Worked just right. Perfectly strait.

I disassembled dune buggy about 35 years ago cus I knew if I kept it my kids would kill themselves on the ranch. We are moving and do not need to take it with me

Just read the article and it was very informative. And my bad. The 48 1/2 was at the spring perch holes of the rear end. I later measured the distance at the point of were the backing plates bolt...

The 53 inches was where the backing plates bolts up on the rear end. The 48 1/2 was front axle top spring perch holes

How bout simply counter clockwise when sitting in the front seat. Oh darn, this is no help to the generation of kids that have had all the clocks at home and school replace with digital LOL

53 inches. One eye on spring perches. They had 46 to 48 brakes as I recall. Been a long time

Thanks. My turtle is mounted on the left of the drive shaft and will be pointing down. Probably get a 90 degree adaptor to get it to point to the right

If you are sitting in the engine compartment and looking to the rear, does the speedometer turtle threaded end face clockwise or counter clockwise. It will bolt on either way but will only work...
