BTW, I just got a 30 Tudor running that had not ran since 1963, and yes, I DID thoroughly clean out the oil pan and valve chest. People DO pay attention to what you say. Thanks.

You mentioned supplemental ground. Did you run a heavy battery cable directly to the bell housing near the starter from the positive battery terminal?

The standard rear end ratio for a 1930 is 3.78:1, not 3.96:1. Do you have a stock Model A rear axle? If not, then Model A ring and pinion won't fit.
