Re: Cowl lights- AV8 Roadster

Pete,

It's your car, put I wouldn't do it. Less is more in my opinion. Especially on a roadster.

Re: Transmission problem on 41 ford car

Sounds to me like the snychro went to far forward (or would it be aft for 3rd???) and the blocks & balls popped out locking up the trans. Just a guess. You'll need to take it out or take of the...

Re: 32 axle bent twist ?

Greg is great. Depending where the OP's is located, Andy Kohler in Williamsport, PA can do it as well.

I just shipped a '32 axle to Greg and was dumbfounded when it cost $50 to ship it to his...

Re: 32 axle bent twist ?

Not at all. That’s what we did. We used heat to get it hot before bending back into place.

Re: 32 axle bent twist ?

My wishbone was bent like yours. We scratched our heads how the ball mount centerline was off, yet the axle perch opens were on line and level. Point being, who knows what happens to these parts,...

Re: 32 axle bent twist ?

Yes, but not as drastic as in the first picts. So think of it this way. It's like plumbing a door frame. The openings for the axle bosses need to be parallel and level. If you were able to find...

Re: 32 axle bent twist ?

Agreed. From the looks of it, it appears quite sharp and not a gentle bend.

Re: 32 axle bent twist ?

From my advantage point looking at the pictures you posted, the axle is bent in the middle. Looks like it has a sharp bend smack dab in the middle. Flip it over and see if it will stay up on its...

Re: 32 axle bent twist ?

I had an issue recently with the '32 wishbone on a chassis that Zach Suhr did for me. It was really odd. No visible damage, yet it was out of square. The ball lined up to the divot in the K, yet...

Re: 32 axle bent twist ?

Real simple. If you can, flip it over on it’s back. If bent, it will not stand up on its own. If it falls over, you’ll be able to tell which end is bent or twisted.

Re: flathead oil pan

Or are you talking about an add on windage tray? If so, yes.

Ronnie Roadster added one to my 59AB oil pan. I believe he got it from Canton Racing Products.

Re: Flathead Valve Adjusting Methods ??'s

Next one I do, I'm going to try and go with Pete's method. Set it and forget it I guess.

I'm hoping to get out to the Best Coast one day so I can see it in person.

Re: Evolution of installing cylinder heads

My prayers to his family. Let's hope Bruce is driving around in a '32 Roadster with an Ardun powered flatty in heaven.
