I'd contact Michael Driskell at Third Gen Automotive. The Ford Bolt business he bought from Roy is impressive. As is his knowledge of fasteners.

Yes. I'm running 12 volts and a skip rebuilt original coil.

I'm running the ICR35 on a 12 volt conversion. If I remember correctly, I have about 4 volts at the coil with this resistor.

As the other folks said, just replace the king pins and the bushings in the spindles. When the new bushings are pressed in, hone them to fit the pin.

The original spindles will be better quality...

C4 automatic/289.

I will add that I have a 1974, 351w that I'd like to build and replace the 289. I'd also like to eventually go with the AOD transmission.

Because they know it's better gas and recreational folks want it. Like diesel it should cost less to make but they charge more. It takes more energy and cost more to produce 1 gallon of ethanol gas...

You choose wisely. I encourage you to continue to look for a 46-48 Ford. You'll find one that is ready to drive for a good price. The market is soft and these 46-48 fords are affordable to get into...
