Re: Rod and Main Nuts

I just ordered a set also, thinking they were self locking but turns out they aren't. So just to be very clear about this. Are you installing them without any form of locking device? Do you stake...

Is My Cam Going Flat?

I've got a rebuilt B block with a Cragar head. Virtually all of it is rebuilt or new including re-ground cam and new lifters. I've had a lot of break in problems with the side draft weber carb. I've...

Re: 28-29 Roadster Top Iron Corner Material

Thanks for the tip. I hadn't thought about leather belts but have considered the other two ideas.

I can't seem to find any replacement tack strip material to go inside the 28-29 top irons. Does anyone have any suggestions for replacement material? Nobody seems to sell this stuff

Radiator, Fender, Hood Shelf, Etc. Correct Order of Installation

Many years ago there was a thread here that talked about the correct order of installation of the fender, radiator, hood shelf, radiator shell, etc. on the 26-27 model T. I've searched for that...

Re: electric water pumps

That was my article in the latest F.A.S.T. magazine. It is a Speedway Motors pump intended for a Chevy V8 that I machined my own housing for. Here's a couple pictures showing the original housing...

Re: Tube Headers for Model A

Mine is an unusual case because it is a Model B Cragar conversion in a narrowed Model A frame but I built mine from a chevy v8 kit purchased from Summit for $100. Made my own flange and had a lot of...

Plugging the Water Holes in a B block

Having read Jim Brierley's book many times over, I see he recommends that you plug 4 of the water holes in the B block to support the head gasket. The picture in the book isn't all that clear so I...

Re: Head Bolts won't line up

Re: Head Bolts won't line up

Further inspection reveals...Looks like someone has modified this head (shouldn't be surprised, these things have had long and colorful lives). Looks like the original hole size is 15/32, the left...
