Re: Do you look at the parts wanted forum?

I am old enough that it is time to start selling parts that I will never use. I track the wanted forum to see what people need.

Re: 6V Voltmeter

Everything I have seen is the wrong diameter, too deep or doesn't look like it belongs in a Model A. What is the whole story? Why don't you just use an ammeter? If your current is too high, add a...

If you added your general location to your profile maybe someone nearby has one you could look at.

Did you have the manifolds machined if they needed it?

Re: Help Identify Clutch Pedal

Any chance there is a part number cast into it? My guess is that there is an extra bend that didn't come from the factory.

Re: Orange Wheel Powder Coat Color

If you added your general location to your profile someone might be able to direct you to a local powder coater that has the correct color orange.

Re: pre-bent brake line kit - 39/40 Ford quality

Please call C&G. If they are getting defective/substandard parts from their suppliers they need to know it or the rest of us will be next. Let us know their response, that is the important part.

Re: 1939 Ford Transmission #ís

The number actually starts with BB18. The BB says it is a heavy commercial and the 18 says it is for a V8 engine. The serial number part looks like 2586902 which was assigned to an engine built in...

Re: 6 volt horn in 12 volt vehicle

Tom,
Do you mean the resistors sized specifically for horns and sold by places like Bratton's or are you just talking about generic voltage dropping resistors?

Re: Motor Paint color ?

I have always had better luck with brush than spray. Read the judging standards for which parts are Ford engine green and which are black.

Re: Engine Machining

Wherever you decide to go check them out in the archives here and on HAMB. The "&" symbol confuses the search engine so if looking for a company with that in their name go to Google and search for...

Re: 32` Hood on a 30`Model A

NO, the belts on a '32 won't match the Model A and the bottom of the 32 side panel curves down, see first 3 pictures. The last two show the same areas on a Model A. When using a '32 shell on a...

Re: VIN Number

Do it right. If the number on the title doesn't match a visible number on the car you will eventually have trouble selling it. If you are stopped by the police and they check the number (they do in...

Re: 4 cylinder motors

I can't think of any Model A speed Equipment that wouldn't fit on a '32-'34 engine unless you install the later engine in a '33-'34 car that requires the shorter 3 bolt water pump.

Re: Oil breather pipe.

Looks like a Model B style (1932-34). The larger diameter was designed to reduce oil blowing out of the pipe.

Re: 4 cylinder motors

My first suggestion is to put your general location in your profile. You should consider using a 4 cylinder transmission and putting the '39 gears in it and the '39 tower on it.

Re: Standard or Deluxe Model?

Not just for these...

Re: 1932 Radiator distance?

Put your radiator shell on and measure the length of the hood. Remember that the B and the V8 rods were a different length.

Re: 32 to 34 spindles

Short answer, YES. The Green Bible says part B 3105 (Spindle Assy -RH-LHD) fits 32-34 and B 3106 (Spindle Assy -LH-LHD) fits '32-'34.
