Re: Model "A" Era Accessories

I saw that there are repro rainbow caps, but I can't seem to find any photos of what they look like in action...

Re: Model "A" Era Accessories
@Bob Bidonde:
Is that rear luggage rack one of the standard ones with the wood strips removed and painted black? The one that came with my A has rust pits in the chrome, and that might be a good...

Re: Rainy Day Thought
While I'm sure that a proper restoration would help, for me it's a matter of height. Even at 5'10", my eye-line settles at the top of the window. So the area cleaned by the wiper is too small, too...

Re: Logolites opinions
The tactic I've employed is to look at the passenger side edge of the road when another car passes on the other side of the road. It's not just LEDs that can cause a problem, but simply going from...

Re: No Compression in 3 & 4 Cylinders
At the risk of starting an argument here, what is the current best-recommended gasket and the best place to buy it from? I see mentions of a Best GraphTite?

Re: No Compression in 3 & 4 Cylinders
I ordered the premium gasket via Snyders (https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/ProductDetail/A-6051-M_PREMIUM-HEAD-GASKET-28-31?fromCategory=SearchByKeyword). The one with the "solid steel core...

Re: No Compression in 3 & 4 Cylinders
While I'm thinking ahead, I was able to get all of the studs out and will be replacing them with new grade 5 studs and grade 8 nuts. Is anti-seize something put on the studs when installing? Also,...

Re: No Compression in 3 & 4 Cylinders
Sorry about the delay here, but between work and my hesitation doing this for the first time made the process of removing the head a very slow process.
But I did it! And I think I may have found...

No Compression in 3 & 4 Cylinders
Purchased a 1929 Tudor in May and have been replacing worn our parts over the summer. I am very much a minimal shade-tree mechanic, but I've been able to do a surprising amount of work on the A,...

Re: Radiator fill question

Amazon has them for around $3 per 1000 (https://www.amazon.com/Royal-Count-Coffee-Beverage-Stirrers/dp/B001FVPAOE/)....

Re: National meet Dearborn
I stopped by the hotel on Sunday to pick up a radiator from Berg on my way back to Ohio.
Mike's setup in the hall there was the one thing that made me wish I could stay for Tuesday. It was clear...

I keep wanting to mock up a fake modern "dealer window sticker" for my Model A for when I take it down to the local car meets.
I need to figure out what features to list (eg, "4-wheel drum...

That is such a wild aircraft.
I found a video of one in flight here (https://youtu.be/fKUwdF17HNQ?t=808).
