...while you're at it,remove the points and clean the contact faces. It's common for corrosion to form and prevent current flow, your sparking with the screwdriver suggests this is the likely problem.

Nope,shoes are different in the hole size at the bottom where the eccentrics are on the 39/41 plate, later cylinders are bigger bore but will interchange.

Hiya, second one is late 1941,third is 1942 thru 46 and the last is possibly the light retainers for the first pair, and they are likely to be aftermarket conversions for '37/8/9std....my guess...

Yep, the uni has a bolt down the inside,9/16 socket will fit and once it's off you'll see the 6 bolts that hold the mounting to the case,same socket size. You may have to do a little excavation in...

You're right....it looks strange because it is. The "tube" section is originally for the shackle bush that the factory swaybar attaches to. Some clever dude has inserted a bolt or similar to mount...
