I use the three OHM version on twelve volt applications . The one point five coil is for six volt applications and if used with twelve volts will need a resistor at the coil connections .

I mounted a modern condenser and connected the pig tail wire to the switch side of the coil . This gets the condenser out of the heat and puts it in a place that is way easier to remove and replace...

Nothing wrong with drying cloths on the line . I mostly still use the cloths dryer . I bought the wooden cloths pins at Walmart for holding up the tappets . I've done this many times .

I agree . If you decide to try matching , thinner paint at a little higher air pressure will often be lighter . thicker paint will usually end up darker .

Yeah Pat , I'm getting purdy old . I turn 74 in a couple of months. The spring style wooden pins are still readily available and work good for holding lifters in place .

After removing the valve springs , I use wooden clothes pins to hold the tappets up for clearance to remove the camshaft .

Unmodified model A generators will charge a twelve volt battery . The model A generator doesn't put out as high of amperage as the alternator . The lights won't be as bright but will otherwise work...
