Re: OK! Let's get personal!

I’m 25 and loving every mile in a Model A! Rolled my odometer to 70,000 earlier this year (or 170 or 270!) so I’ve put about 12,000 miles on my A since I’ve had it.

Re: Hood Prop Kits

FYI, original radiator upper tanks had tabs for holding your hood up! They work very well on mine! (Although the original '29 core left a little to be desired in Texas summers).

Brake de-conversion question

Hi all,

I recently recieved a phone call from family asking me if I wanted to purchase a coupe that has family history.

I'm interested in it, since none of my cars have any family lineage, but...

Re: First adventure with my new phaeton

Nice car! I saw it at chickasha and wondered if it went home with someone, a very nice car that looked ready to be used and maintained! Have fun!

I've looked for them just out of curiousity and this is the only one I've come across lately

Re: Vintage photos

And those aren't directionals on the fenders, those are ford accessory fender lights, I know of a few cars around me with them, very neat, the lenses are shrunken versions of the headlight lenses,...

Re: Spark arrestor

I wonder if the rocks were there to prevent gas from splashing from the initial pull of the lever on a gas nozzle that has a fixed (high) pressure. I remember awhile back someone found broken mason...

Re: 29 Sedan front seats

Are the reversible seat brackets already in the far position? (Somewhat 'S' shaped with a pin through them.

Re: Can the Model A hobby survive?

I agree the hobby will definitely survive, I think it'll evolve a little, I'm one of the younger members of my club (21) but there are a few children or grandchildren of older members that are taking...

Re: Shock-ing! Christmas arrived early

Great video, those are beautiful!

Something neat would be to film your car from the outside going over some bumps and cornering without shocks, and then film the same places once the shocks are...

Re: Engine compartment pans

I like them, but correct me if I'm wrong, the only ones reproduced are 30-31, I have a 29 and they fit, but not as well as original 29 pans I've seen.

As far as function I believe yes they were to...

Using original 29 core

I was looking to get original top and bottom tanks for my 29 and ended up coming across a complete original 29 rad including the core. I've heard these are pretty inefficient at cooling and I live in...

He rebuilt my 5-brush top mounted cutout and added a regulator earlier this year, it's worked flawlessly over quite a few miles so far!

Re: Model A car names

"Chester", my car had fairly blinding orange wheels when I bought it, rose beige car with no pinstripe, made me think of Cheetos. And their mascot is Chester cheetah, and I think the name Chester is...

Re: One Shot drying time on tires

I believe part of my problem was the paint was barely thinned, hence the very long time it is taking to dry, my paint was more along the lines of syrup with how little I thinned it.

Re: One Shot drying time on tires

Thank you! I did it free hand, with a very tiny hypodermic needle as a very poor 'brush'... my original idea was to just use the needle as a striping tool controlling the flow, but it turned out the...

One Shot drying time on tires

Re: Dumped the sealed beams

Pete, I laughed at the irony of the stock look regarding the headlights considering the car in the picture! It looks nice that way too, I just found it humorous!

Re: Steering Adjustment -- Wander -- Wandering

Pertaining to 7-tooth, with the lack of adjustment options, what is the smallest amount of play you can hope for when you also go through the front end as H.L. did?

Great thread!

Also, I didn't take a picture of my tire, but this is the design we're speaking of on the 21" Goodyears to clarify for anyone.
