Re: What would identify a Brookville 1931 Roadster Body

The best thing about Brockville bodies is that you can build a hot rod without destroying an original car.

Re: Squealing engine

Had the same squeal with my engine. Spray the front crank seal with oil and squeal would go away, then return after a few hours running. Replaced with modern seal, no squeal and no leak.

Re: pressurized radiator work around

Not all pressure caps will work with an overflow tank. You need a pressure cap with two rubber gaskets, one to seal the pressure and one to seal the cap. You can remove the rubber gasket from the...

Re: unusual head torque issue

I use ARP Ultra-Torque Assembly Lube on head nuts. Nuts don't stick to the threads.
I worried about the nuts loosening, but that a has not happened yet.
I torque Model A heads to 55 lbs.

Re: Head Gasket

Flathead is correct, when you burn gasoline, water is a product of combustion.
The Best website says to use copper spray on their graphite head gaskets. I do and it works well.

Re: T 5 transmission for ModelA

I installed a T5 in my 1930 Town Sedan. I wanted a low first gear for parades, and not too tall 5th gear because I didn't think my mostly stock engine could pull it. The T5 from 4 cyl. S-10 would...
