New Use for Left Hand eBrake

Today, worked on the brakes on my 28, getting ready for spring.

The car is up on jackstands and I did all of the preliminary work on brake rods, clevis pins, shaft and pedal bushings, return springs and lubricated all. Did not take off the brake drums because did that last year when I lubricated the bearings.

What I found is that the left side parking brake handle (with the single brake system) can be used instead of a graduated block, holding down the brake pedal.

The ebrake has four ratchet clicks from zero. Useful for trying different brake positions for adjusting the pegs on the backing plates. On my car, I have set up so that the brakes lock on the second click of the ebrake handle. This equates to half-way down pedal position.

It may be that many of you know this, if you have the left brake handle.
I found it a lot easier than messing with the board on the pedal routine.

Now for a road test!! Hoping for some nice weather to go driving.

OH! no, Martin, hope we don't get goin' on 17 ways to adjust brakes, AGAIN. Everybody's goin'to do it their own way anyhow! Most don't change their ways, ONLY change their socks & underwear, (HOPEFULLY) bILL w.
