F-1 New wiring harness help My 1950 F1 is getting a new harness original cloth style, and I am at the point of replacing the headlight wires. I have the crossover wire but the old harness was butchered and I am sure there is a junction box I am missing. I have seen the one's at Mac's and Dennis Carpenter. I was wondering if this is what you guys are using also. Any Help would be appreciated.
Thanks. Chad M. This is the one from Mac's http://macsautoparts.com/ford-pickup...0HAAA81000086/ |
Re: F-1 New wiring harness help I rewired mine with the Dennis Carpenter set up, and I don't have that junction thingy in the link you posted. I'm still running 6V if that makes any difference.

Re: F-1 New wiring harness help The 48-52 trucks did not use any connectors like that. Those are for passenger cars. The wires join together with a bullet conector. It's basically a small tube about an inch long with a black rubber coating. THe harness ends have male ends and the plug into the connector. Mac's new catalog has them listed on page 248, part number A 14487 for .45 cents each, They also show the 4 way that expands from one wire up to 3 more. Part number 59A 14487 @1.75 each. Your old harness may have a few examples still there. They may look like they're attached to one side, but they will pull off. All the repo dealers have these.
