31 roadster running boards Hi guys i need a little help here . I m gonna reattach the running board brackets and just now realized the raddius is not the same on all four. the 2 in the rear have different curves in them . they came with the car and were labbled when removed . now before i install the rivets i need to know if they are sitting in the correct spots. the 2 front brackets have a longer curve than the rears is this correct??? thanks THE HOOCH

Re: 31 roadster running boards The longer front brackets can be used on either side.The rear brackets are angled slightly where they rivet to the frame because the frame widens towards the rear.

Re: 31 roadster running boards Might be an idea to put them on with nuts and bolts first ,
to check that they line up right and that the brackets are not bent . Then rivet them on if you want to. John Cochran |
Re: 31 roadster running boards on the rear brackets there is left and rights. and like JJJ says bolt them on first. measure the distance between the bracket on the under side of your running boards. then measure the distance on your brackets, measure the distance under the brackets from side to side. run a string under the brackets from side to side. then cross measure all four corners. when you finish the brackets should be square and level with each other. now is the time to rivet the brackets on.
