Hollywood...1957 Crusin' Hollywood in 1957
For those of you who enjoy the good ole days, watch this video and see the many cars from the fifties. This is cool - especially when you consider there were no video cams 55 yrs ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v...W9-s&vq=medium If this has been posted before...please forgive me. Pat |
Re: Hollywood...1957 That has been posted before but don't apologize if is so cool:
Lets make a game out of it and try to figure out how many if that year are seen. Now what is it ( I know there may be many but that is ok ) Also what is the oldest. What street was it on ( only for the advanced players ) HAVE FUN WITH IT |
Re: Hollywood...1957 That T-Bird almost lost its quarter panel. LOL
|
Re: Hollywood...1957 Yeah, T-bird doesn't yield and the camera car doesn't yield to the pedestrians. What year is that blue Caddy convertible and why do we see it again after it makes its first turn? Enquiring minds want to know.

It's the blue '47-'48 Buick conv. that you see a couple of times. Once when they followed it for a distance and then when it pulled out from the right in front of them. But it's possible that the film was put together out of sequence. |
Re: Hollywood...1957 At 2:08, that's a 1955 or 1956 Lincoln crossing the road.
|
Re: Hollywood...1957 only saw one sedan that looked 39 or so no other 30s cars or trucks & the film was only taken in 57 most every car looked to be 5 or 6 yrs old is all-- kinda strange ?

Re: Hollywood...1957 Where were all the hot rods?? I thought everybody drove a hot rod in LA in the 50's!
|
Re: Hollywood...1957 That video aint from 53. I saw a 55 chevy wagon lol...thanx for sharing though !
|
Re: Hollywood...1957 The title of the thread is "1957", I saw a '39 Plymouth, 3 '57 Chevy's and a '57 Mercury and the Bronze '51 Ford was in front in the beginning and at another corner it came out in front again. Very good!

Re: Hollywood...1957 O.K. go to You Tube and in the search box type in "Hot Rod 1950" There's a 5 part series all done in the 50's with lots of old roadsters, etc. The story line is about a judge who has a son who loves hotrods. It's an original movie broken up into segments.
