Which Parts List do I Need

I have a 1931 S/W 160B. I need to get a parts list so I know what the part numbers are. I don't need the drive train parts, just the body parts.
I saw this one on ebay "1928-31 FORD MODEL A & AA BODY PARTS LIST".

Car was in a garage fire so I need to replace all the weather stripping and windshield seals etc

The bad thing with the body parts list is the fact that they don't have pictures like the chassis parts list. You'd probably be better served by asking the parts houses for the parts catalog, such as Bert's, Bratton's, Snyders, A&L, etc.

Bert's.......800-321-1931
Bratton's...800-255-1929
Snyder's....888-262-5712
A&L..........860-693-0112

Parts list without pictures. I have the Model A hardware book that is the same way. Not a lot of help without pictures. I do have most of the vendor catalogs.

Re: Which Parts List do I Need

What is the best way to see what parts I need. After the fire most of the other non metal have melted so I don't know what was there.
Looking thru the catalogs I can find the parts if I know what they are but what about when I don't know what was there.
Example: I have the windshield frame out & apart to replace the glass. I know there is a seal between the top of the hinge & the body but what else should be there. Same with the gas tank. What parts are needed between the tank & body.
I was hoping to find a parts diagram with pictures but that doesn't seem to exist.

I have lots of books & catalogs that came with the car but none show parts diagrams with part numbers

Looking thru the catalogs I can find the parts if I know what they are but what about when I don't know what was there. Then that is when you ask questions...

How about starting with joining a Model A club if you are not a member already? There are a lot of knowledgable guys out there who just might be able to help you out first hand as there are on this site.

You are going to be dealing with a lot of "assemblies" so it appeares.

Get the vendor parts books/catologes that Tom suggests, and a copy of the MARC/MAFCA Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards.

Get a 1931 Chassis Parts Price List.

ALSO...look in on joining the following club:
14. No known website: Town Sedan Club (155-A, B, C, D and 160-B)
3830 North Kootenai Ct., Casa Grande, Arizona 85122 or [email protected]
