repro cowl lights angle outward ??

cowl lights purchased from macs made by vintiqe . when i hold them in
place on car they are slightly outward enough to look off. phoned macs
they have no answer as to why. put my old original glass lens in place and
they look great other wise.

any ideas as to make these fit properly ? my originals fit straight, but are
to deteriated to use.

I had to make a shim/washer out of a PVC fitting in order for my repro units to fit straight.

There are 3 screws under the bell that when loosened will allow for some adjustment. 30/31 models.

James is right on the mark...loosen all three screws on the bottom put a little W-D40 on the plate and work it back and forth it should addjust to the right position. good luck

On a set of reproduction 30-31 cowl lights that I recently installed the radius where the arm fits over the cowl band does not match the cowl band and this caused the lights to be angled outward slightly.

That's why I shimmed mine out. I made a plastic (PVC) "washer" to fit between the cowl light arm and the cowl to space it out so that it would face forward. It has the added advantage of sealing for water leaks.
