Head ID

I have a pair of 8BA style heads that have no markings familiar to me. One head has "A222" cast where I'm used to seeing "8BA", "EAB", "8RT", etc. The other head has "33E" in the same location. Do these numbers ring a bell with anyone? My guess - and it's only a guess - would be aftermarket of some description. They came off an engine which had been in a truck, and I suspect pretty severly abused over the years. Thanks in advance for any insights.

Probably 8RT, CC the chambers, that will tell all.

Ron - Good idea. Offhand, do you know how many cc for an 8RT combustion chamber? For some reason, 78 or 79 sticks in my mind as the right number.

Yes you might be right, however when I was checking them some were over 80cc

What is the difference between 8RT and EBA heads, other than one was on a truck?

If you mean "EAB" it's the comp. ratio. of which the EAB is the highest.
