36 spring perch

While changing the frontspring on my 36 I noticed that the perches at the front of the radius rod ,which holds the shocks, were not evenly spaced from the center of the spring bolt ,one perch was 20 on center the other was 22" on center. This doesn'tseem correct. Before I go any further I would like to know if this is a problem. and how do I rectify it?

Thanks

Re: 36 spring perch

installing the new spring should bring it back. without the front spring the front end can move from side to side it would be limited by the shock links binding.

Are these measurements with the new spring installed? I would bet that the spring center bolt is broken and has let the leaves shift.
