lotta hard work ahead, but if you have the right skills and ample patience for such an undertaking (I don't!) you will have fun with it.......

Welcome to the Cabriolet family !!

You will want to check out Bob Johnsons site and the Cabriolet message board which has got lots of good info and a good search function and has helped me a lot ;

http://www.cabriolet.modelahouse.com/

You have got a 68-C so you should also check out Kevins site ;

http://home.comcast.net/~68c/

I have had indispensable help from the original Ford drawings of the body wood pieces which I bought on a memory stick from this guy ;

[email protected]

This should be interesting to you since the body of your car seems to miss most of the wood.

Then there is the Cabriolet Club, which sells packages of backissues of its newsletters. There is undoubtedly lots of very useful information there, but the backissues are expensive, take a long time to get, often with mediocre picture quality since the people in charge of the club refuse to convert the newsletter originals to electronic format.

Last but not least, lots of useful information comes from the participants here at Fordbarn. So please ask for the information you need

I forgot to mention that the Cabriolet Club has also got reproductions of some of the hard to get parts for the Cabriolet for sale.

Then there is this gentleman in Denmark which has fabricated some sheet metal parts and patch panels for the Cabriolet :

http://www.poul-hedegaard.dk/index.htm

He definately has some offering for the 68-B. I cannot confirm for the 68-C, you will have to check.

That is an Early one with the flat firewall.

Contact Tom Moniz [email protected] as he keeps track of these.

Good luck with the restoration.

Looks almost as bad as mine. Careful stripping the body. I found "lace" in the middle of several panels. I don't know about the doors. They should have a metal inner structure. The lower part of '31 SW sedan doors are are an almost exact replacement, the difference being the front post. I removed the rust from my body by soaking it in molasses because it was so fragile. It gets confusing when there are two threads running on the same subject. :confused::)
