Deuce Barn Find at Hershey

If I had $100,000, I would buy this one:

Yes, and I suspect he'll find a few buyers too. Compared to starting with a rust bucket, this car isn't as expensive as you might think.....

When a friend of mine was at Hershey he checked it out and said the body & condition was real strong as was the price. But how many like this one are still out there waiting to be loved?

I LOVE unrestored cars, but for $100,000.00, I'd rather have the restored one too. It sold for $99,000.00. It's a Nick Alexander restoration.

The seller paid that much for it a couple of years ago.

A buddy of mine has a Model B roadster that his mother bought used in 1934. It was repainted in 48 and a new top put on in 53 other than that its 100% original. Has 30 some thousand miles on it and he thinks its worth about 10 grand or so.

Maybe "crazy money " , but if you owned it what would you ask ? You can always go down ....my guess is it will bring $75k , cash .

Well, it is not just duece coupes. Being younger than some on this board at 58 and "closer to home" I recently saw on Pawn Stars that $5,000 was supposedly paid for a restored 1966 Honda CB 160 at Sturgis. (I wonder how much you can really believe on reality shows like that, probably not much) I sold one in near pristine condition in 1972 for $200 or less. I think I was asking $200 and probably didn't get that much. I remember the buyer didn't much like the fairing, tail lights, or crash bar I had put on it to make it safer and more comfortable to ride. It had all of 3 or 4,000 miles on it. I never did see a bike with more than 10k miles in rainy old Seattle. I look back on my ownership and wondered why I thought myself so invincible. I can't imagine myself riding a bike like that now in the rain on the freeway in Seattle traffic. Scares the h@ll out of me now.

I agree completely with the first part but, unfortunately car will never be bought for $75k. I know for a fact he was offered 80k and turned it down...either way I'm priced out of it. But if I had it. The car would never be for sale again....

hey that's me in the pic behind it...
