radiator removal
 

I need to take my radiator out to get o small leak repaired on the drivers side bottom. Are there any diagrams or instructions on removal? I want to take as little apart as possible. Thanks

The radiator is only held on by the nut and bolt on each side at the bottom and the hood rods attached to the bracket on the radiator neck. You don't have to pull the hood but I find it easier.

I agree with TinCup, I would get someone to help remove the hood [if you've never done it], it only takes a few min's.
To remove the rad. and install it is an easy job, even I can do it.

I've removed the radiator solo and with help. With help.... even slight help ("hey honey, I need you for a minute"), it is much easier. A little help with allow you to hopefully avoid damaging the finish on the car.

I have some photos of the hood and radiator removal posted on my blog. It is not difficult to do but you need to be careful when removing the hood to NOT scratch the tank or bend the hood itself. DON'T PUT THE HOOD DOWN FLAT ON THE GROUND --- rest it on a padded area so if you were looking down at it, it would like a big letter M. You also may want to wedge some cardboard between the radiator and the fan blade as you are doing your work "just in case" so you don't create new leaks. There are a bunch of other small "tricks" if you have never done it before, but they are all fairly logical and simple. The Model A repair/restoration books have fairly decent instructions. Let us know how you do and post questions as you go if you need to.
