Model A aftermarket industry

The FAM thread is an interesting reminder that Model A aftermarket parts and accessories have been available since the introduction of the 1928 Model A. Truth be known, most of the A stuff was probably added to the product line of the companies manufacturering Model T accessories.

While I will be the first to acknowledge the work that goes into a Blue Ribbon A, I also recognize that there is an aftermarket industry that often times gets short shrift here. When I first got into the high performance industry, several clients were still manufacturing speed equipment for A's into the early sixties. JC Whitney had at least five pages of A stuff in the fifties. When I registered my 1931 Model A speedster, I took in copies of ads showing speedster bodies that could be purchased at a Ford Dealership back in the day.

Back to the FAM. I have them in three cars with no issues. Too, the engines in those cars are balanced and have counterweight cranks. Every one of the stock motor mounts I've removed have had stress cracks.

To those who claim the Fordbarn is purely for the preservation and restoration of 1928-1931 Model A's, does that also include all of the aftermarket items that could be fitted to a 28-31 Ford?
