1933 Ford Sedan floor I am restoring a 1933 Ford Sedan (USA Body) and need the rear floor section under the rear seat. Can anyone put me onto a reputable supplier please?
Thanks David |
Re: 1933 Ford Sedan floor I just did a 34 floor.
Bradley is the only one making the floor pans like Stock ... they are the closest BUT ....on the rear pan with the differential hole....the reinforcing ribs are half round beads on 33 with V reinforcing bars underneath. In 34 they made the ribs deeper and more V shape and thus removed the need for the V bars. Bradley is more like 33. Bradley has a backlog/delivery issue Howell sheet metal in Texas has started doing the front pans ..... they are close to OEM like Bradley. In some ways they are closer to OEM BUT the left to right ribs are not half round like OEM but are flat ribs. That is they matched the ribs that run above the frame. They claim that they are in the process of making dies for the entire floor....but other that the front pan none have been delivered... so unclear how their rear pans look. Steves real steel does a hot rod version and I understand that Donny Smart is doing hot rod pans. Regards Ed Solari |
Re: 1933 Ford Sedan floor Adding to Eds post the added reinforcements on 33's are only on the two inboard ribs - the two outboard ribs don't have them . The deeper - sharper ribs on 34's are much stiffer so by changing the stamping dies slightly Ford eliminated the need for the additional spot welded braces .
