Engine block off plates 1 Attachment(s)
I found a set of these in a box when rooting around the other day. These were made to fit the front of 1937-38 twenty-one stud blocks, in order to fit them into 32-36 chassis and still utilize the 32-36 heads and pumps.
Trying to identify the actual Ford part numbers.....if they were even made by Ford. The ones I found have NO numbers cast into them at all. Anyone have any info as to a Ford service part number? I'll post a pic. |
Re: Engine block off plates Mac there are water inlets with the motor mounts cast on them required along with the plates. I have several sets but don't know if they have numbers on them. G.M.

Re: Engine block off plates I have those too (plus their part numbers)....I'd never seen the block off plates before I found these (see the pic). It's funny but Ford usually cast the part numbers into simple castings like these. There appears to be a "6" in each casting (or a "9" I suppose) but that's all I could see.

Re: Engine block off plates Mac, Try 78-8528. I think that might be what you are looking for.
Side note... I'm on the hunt for a pair of those. And, yes, those in the picture look to be the real Ford part... |

Re: Engine block off plates The 37 engine is an ideal replacement for a 32 to 36 engine. Not good for high point show car but a reliable driver. Has insert bearings and with the parts Mac has the 32 to 36 heads fit right on giveing it the early engine look. Just have to watch for domed pistons or flat ones to match the heads. G.M.
